Ugh. This has not been as festive a Yule as I could ask for. I can't find anything to say other than, when I saw Star Wars, I thought Ms. Fisher was the most determined and spirited woman I'd ever seen. I'm a huge Star Wars nerd, and it saddens me that she's gone.

Star Wars and its sequels shaped an entire era. So many of us grew up with that world, so many of us learned to look toward the stars, and dream of being heroes alongside them. Leia was - and is - one of the strongest fictional women I've ever had the privilege of dreaming alongside, and Carrie made her that way. She is, and ever will be, very much missed.
